The Icarus Hunt

This is literally the best mystery story I've ever read. It's classified as sci-fi because it takes place in the future on space ships, but it's basically a whodunit where the narrator has to solve the mystery before the crime gets pinned on him or he gets killed. I read this over 12 years ago, but I'm still trying to find a story as well written and mysterious as this one.
